Mental Health Care FAQs

  • No, just adults 18 years or older. If you need help finding mental health treatment for issues such as depression, anxiety or ADHD for your child, I can help you find a medical provider.

  • Yes! At Vida Telehealth, we have a thorough process for diagnosing and treating ADHD. Before your first appointment, you will complete a set of questionnaires we send to your email.

At your first appointment, we’ll spend about an hour getting to know you. Hearing your story and your symptoms. We help you understand what types of symptoms are indicative of ADHD and which ones are not. We also asses for other conditions such as depression, anxiety, and binge eating disorder

At our second visit, we will continue the ADHD evaluation process and discuss lifestyle changes, behavior modification, other tactics to improve your symptoms. If needed, medications will be prescribed based on shared decision making.

If medication is initiated, we schedule regular follow-ups to adjust dosage, monitor side effects, and assess the medication's effectiveness for your unique symptoms.

  • Regardless of your previous diagnosis, we will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of your ADHD journey and symptoms. This includes assessing other conditions like depression, anxiety, and binge eating. Before your first appointment, you will complete a set of questionnaires we send to your email.

We also review past ADHD evaluations and diagnoses from your other medical providers. Through shared decision-making, we'll assess whether your current or past treatment plans aligns with your current needs and preferences.

  • While we screen for bipolar at our mental health visits, we do not treat bipolar.  If you need help finding a mental health provider who does treat bipolar, I can assist you in finding a medical provider.

  • We DO provide:

    • A letter confirming your ADHD diagnosis

    • Referral resources for school accommodation testing or disability assessments, typically conducted through a psycho-educational or neuro-psychological evaluation by a psychologist

    We DON’T provide:

    • Testing for school or work disabilities or accommodations

    • Letters for disabilities or accommodations

This is care that sees your whole self, not just one part of your story.
